Hey, Business Bankers: Do You Know How Lending-as-a-Service Will Impact Your Career?

In my previous posts, I’ve talked about embedded banking, neobanks, and banking-as-a-service.  Today, I came across a similar but new term:  lending-as-a-service!  What is it?  It is technology being used by fintechs, banks and credit unions to acquire more customers with less bankers!  Upstart, which is a fintech, is getting people to apply for loans on their platform and then marrying them with banks and/or credit unions.  Banks and credit unions subscribe to the platform because the cost of acquiring the customer is less than the traditional method:  bankers like you!  Here is my question to you:  when the future-of-business-banking train comes, will you be one of the bankers standing in the middle of tracks like a deer steering into headlights?  Or, are you going to be ready to hop on the train and ride it into the future?
